Fred Grayson Sayre

1879-1939

Missouri artist Fred Grayson Sayre was born in Medoc in 1879, and he studied under portrait artist J. Laurie Wallace. A bout of ill health caused him to move to California, on the advice of his doctor. The first exhibition of painter Fred Grayson Sayre was held in San Francisco in 1922, when he was 43 years old.
