Fourth quarter 19th century, the unsigned white porcelain circular dial with black Roman numeral hours beneath a hinged glazed aperture within a scrolled cartouche-form surround on a rectangular case with acanthus sprays to the lower corners, raised on a foliate scroll footed base, enclosing a twin train movement stamped with Japy Freres Medaille d'or seal and numbered ''2987'', the whole surmounted by a figure of Napoleon on horseback, 22'' H x 14.75'' W x 6.25'' D, est: $1000/2000

Condition: General marks, scratches and rubbed wear to case and figure. Scratches to aperture. Chips to porcelain dial. Lacking rear aperture. A crack along seam of back of horse.
