Provenance: Property of an Estate, Montecito, CA. Condition: The tapestry in good condition with general fading, wear, and minor fraying commensurate with age; with scattered repairs. The tapestry cut in four sections to cover the four separate panels. The frame in good condition, with general marks, scratches, rubbed wear and minor separation to joints commensurate with age. The frame lacking hinges originally linking the central panels; the screen currently in two sections of two panels each. The frame with hanging hardware affixed to rear. Fabric backing not removed to examine back of tapestry. The frame later, as stated.
