Provenance: Property of an Estate, Montecito, CA. Condition: Each with general marks and nicks, minor woodworm damage, and rubbed wear to gilding revealing red bole and white gesso. Shrinkage cracks to timber and separation to joints. The arms of each slightly loose. One with loose back and a repaired break to one leg. Upholstery of each frayed, with holes, and faded. Linen covering to one chair back torn, revealing sagging burlap and stuffing.
