Note: The ''C'' mark indicates that this piece was made during the directorship of Charles T. Cook (1902-1907). The 'Shell and Thread' pattern was patented in 1905. It can therefore be determined that this piece was manufactured in the earliest years of production of this line. For a note on Lucilla Mara de Vescovi (Countess Mara), see lot 1056. Provenance: Property from the Collection of Lucilla Mara de Vescovi (Countess Mara); Thence by descent to her daughter, artist Ely de Vescovi and then to the present family member. Condition: Very good condition overall. General light marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Not monogrammed. AS-IS. ALL SALES FINAL
