incised with signature and date on head verso: Barthe '29, black painted plaster , 12'' x 6.25''. Note: For a note on the Hale Family Collection, please refer to lot 1175. Provenance: PROPERTY FROM THE HALE FAMILY COLLECTION. Condition: Visual: Dimensions of the base: 3.5'' H x 5'' W x 6.5'' D. Minor chips to the plaster primarily along the verso perimeter of the figure's head. Some paint loss due to rubbing on the figure's hair and a few very minor losses to the paint surface on the figure's face, nose, ears and lips. Mounted to a plaster base with brown painted wash. Minor chipping to the the edges of the base. AS-IS. ALL SALES FINAL.
