Note: Inscribed by the artist verso: In the ending year of Bunker Hill, when many of the mansions were turned into rooming houses, it was a shock to see a 1934 Rolls Royce appear occasionally parked in the front of 336 S. Bunker Hill Avenue. Its owner was said to be the son of a tenant who would never move from the premises. Provenance: Corporate Collection, Los Angeles, CA, acquired from the artist, 1960s.
