circa 1860, appears unsigned, oil on canvas, 19'' x 35''. Note: A handwritten paper label affixed to the paper backing on the verso reads: For the Carmel Mission, Monterey, California, painted by Mrs. Tichnor (sic) later Mrs. Herman Schnable in 1865. Provenance: A nonprofit organization, Monterey, CA. Condition: Visual: Generally good condition. Blacklight: Very minor scattered spots of touch-up in the sky, concentrated mainly on the clouds in the upper left quadrant.
