A German Bruckmann & Sohne silver dresser box, Early 20th century, Heilbronn, with maker's mark and further marked ''.800'', ''A.P.'' and with further standard mark ''13'' and registration number ''No 9898'', of waved cartouche form, the hinged lid centrally decorated with frolicking children with flowers, emblematic of Spring, over a conforming body decorated with cartouches and floral swags, est:$700/900

3'' H x 6.75'' W x 5.5'' D. Note: Peter Bruckmann (1865-1937) was the first chairman of the Deutscher Werkbund (founded in 1907) and the Bruckmann firm produced many pieces by leading German designers. The figure on the right side is reminiscent of Michael Powolny figure of Spring, holding a cascade of flowers. Condition: General marks, scratches, rubbing and tarnishing to surface, commensurate with age and use. Decoration to top more notably rubbed. Not monogrammed.
