signed lower right: de Erdely, oil on canvas laid to foam core, 24'' x 20''. Literature: American Artist Magazine, October 1953. Provenance: Private Collection, Los Angeles, CA. Condition: Visual: Some scattered, stable minor craquelure throughout. The canvas was removed from the tacking edges and mounted to archival foam. The original stretchers were retained. Blacklight: A thin 4'' x 3'' 'L' shaped line of touch-up to address a repaired tear on the woman's head. Tiny scattered dots of touch-up on the baby's head, a vertical area of touch-up in the lower left quadrant, a scattered horizontal line of touch-up along the lower edge and a few other scattered dots of touch-up throughout.
