An antique sapphire and diamond lorgnette, 14K yellow gold topped with a cabochon sapphire measuring 8.5 x 6 mm, surrounded by 12 old mine-cut diamonds totaling 0.15 ct, the top inscribed in high script with the monogram ''ARMC'' and ''1897'', opening to reveal a pair of reading glasses, 35 gms, gross- 5'' long, est:$1200/1800
