A Louis XV style ormolu mantel clock Japy Freres
Late 19th century, the movement with Japy Freres pastille, also stamped ''13918'', reverse of foliate element of case stamped ''HCJ / 712'', the circular gilt-bronze dial inset with Roman enamel chapters within an asymmetric acanthus-cast case with a pair of putti, allegorical of music, seated at the base, 24'' H x 20.5'' W x 9.5'' D, est:$5000/7000
24'' H x 20.5'' W x 9.5'' D. Condition: Good condition overall. Case nicely cast. Probably re-gilt. General light marks, scratches and rubbing to surface. With some casting cracks to back of lower foliate elements - does not affect stability. Hands oxidized. Back of movement loose. Movement appears original and complete. No key. No pendulum. Working condition unknown and not guaranteed.
