Late 19th/20th century, with overglaze blue interlaced ''L'' mark centering an ''L'' or ''H'', the lid with ''Empire Bazar'' label, the domed lid over a flared rim over a tapering neck above a bulbous body decorated with a continuous scene of a romantic 18th century couple in a landscape, signed ''L. 28'' H x 8 Dia. Condition: General marks, scratches and rubbing overall. Lid does not sit securely on rim - no groove or fitment. Metal mounts roughly cast. Decoration decently executed. With a 5.25'' firing crack running around the bottom of the body. With a further .5'' vertical firing crack in same area. Surface of lid and body with a slightly tacky feeling, possibly indicating some sort of overspray - does not fluoresce. Rubbing to gilt elements.
