signed left center: Piot, oil on canvas, 18.25'' x 15''. Exhibited: Paris, France, 1878, awarded honorable mention (see wax stamp verso). Condition: Visual: Stable craquelure throughout. Blacklight: Extensive touch-up to address cracking throughout the background and spots of touch-up on the figure's right eye, right shoulder, chest and a few other spots throughout.
