An American Folk Art ventriloquist doll dummy
19th century, with red fiber hair, hand painted papier mache head inset with glass eyes, wooden hands and torso frame, with pole and ring pull to move head and mouth, in a red bell hop uniform, 40.5'' W x 16'' D, est:$800/1200
*Price Realized: $546.25

40.5'' W x 16'' D. Condition: Hair with losses and somewhat matted. Head with typical cracking and rubbing to surface commensurate with age and use. Head and mouth move well. Hands with some wear to painted decoration. Uniform faded overall. Shoes with dirt accumulation.
