A Louis XVI style giltwood ''tete-a-tete''
Late 19th/early 20th century, the S-form padded crestrail over a pierced spindle back above padded seats covered in red velvet, with acanthus-carved arms, on curved seatrails over spiral twist legs ending in tapering feet, 28.5'' H x 49'' W x 24'' D, est:$2000/3000

28.5'' H x 49'' W x 24'' D. Condition: Height of seat: 18'', width of seat: 20.5'', depth of seat: 21''. Structurally sound. Nicely carved. Probably regilt. General light marks and scratches to surface commensurate with age and use. With some slight separation cracking at joints. Some slight rubbing to gilding in areas. With wear and thinning to velvet, particularly to crestrail.
