A pair of Louis XVI style gilt-metal wall lights
Late 19th/early 20th century, each with a pierced circular foliate and C-scroll cast backplate issuing a putto holding a spray of six acanthus-sheathed J-form candlearms, electrified, 13'' H x 16'' W x 24'' D, est:$3000/4000
13'' H x 16'' W x 24'' D. Condition: Generally good condition overall. Casting decent. Gilding of a rather brassy tone. General marks, scratches and rubbing commensurate with age. One wall light missing small decorative attachment. Originally probably part of a larger set as each putto has a Roman numeral etched into one calf. Putti possibly reattached or reconfigured to backplates as there are additional holes in the backplates. Each putto also has a square patch to lower back. Wall lights are wired for electricity but require sockets. Wiring should be checked by a qualified electrician prior to use.
