495 oz tw. approximately. Literature: This model is illustrated W.P. Hood, Jr. ''Tiffany Silver Flatware: 1845-1905: When Dining Was an Art.'' Woodbridge: Antique Collector's Club, 1999, pp. 245-246. Note: Designed by Paulding Farnham and introduced by Tiffany in 1895. The ''Colonial'' pattern was chosen by Farnham to be used in his own home. The pattern became 'inactive' after 1913. Provenance: Property from the Estate of Ms. Bess Meredyth Curtiz, First 38th founding Member of Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, Silent Screen Actress and Writer. Wife of Mr. Michael Curtiz, Hollywood Director (Casablanca, White Christmas, Yankee Doodle Dandy). Condition: Good for age, normal wear to finish. General marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Some bowls to spoons bent or very slightly misshapen. Some dirt/food accumulation to some. Dinner knives re-bladed with stainless steel blades. Descriptions of individual pieces are to the best of our judgment. The set should be viewed in person for proper identification of specific utensil types. Canteen in good overall condition with typical marks and scratches. With wear to hardware commensurate with age.
