1934, signed in ink verso: Ned Scott, platinum print , image size: 9.5'' x 7.5''. Note: Ned Scott was born in France and moved to Manhattan as a young man. There he became a member of the Camera Club of New York and developed a successful career as a commercial photographer. In 1935, Scott moved west to Hollywood and worked for the next seven years shooting film stills for important directors such as Tania Tuttle, Paul Strand, John Ford and Orson Welles. While he was well known for his artistic collaborations in the motion picture industry, his iconic portraits of John Wayne and Rita Hayworth reflect Scott's pure artistic form and are his most glamorous shots.
