Early 20th c, ''Traje de Luces'', with jacket (18'' x 19''), pants (28.5'' x 34''), vest (18'' x 13''), cape (35.5'') and montera (3'' x 13'' x 7''), silk woven with gilt-metal thread, 5 pcs, est:$500/700
*Price Realized: $3,450.00

Note: This costume remained unopened in a family trunk in a Los Angeles storage warehouse from 1940 until 2008. Provenance: Property from the Marianne J. Knox Trust, Los Angeles. Condition: Jacket, vest, pants and cape in good overall condition. With some light fading and minor scattered losses to beads and embellishments. Blue cape with tears to blue silk. Hat misshapen and with wear and flattening to areas of top. Some separation to stitches. Together with a pair of castanets- worn.
