Condition: Visual: Each: Craquelure and paint shrinkage throughout and frame abrasion with minor losses along the edges. The canvas loose on the stretchers. John the Baptist: Vertical surface abrasions in the lower left corner, left center quadrant and upper right quadrant. Madonna & Child: A few dots of paint loss and indentations scattered throughout. A few drips of surface wall paint in the upper left quadrant. Blacklight: John the Baptist: A 2'' diameter area of restoration with corresponding patch on the figure's right shoulder. Madonna & Child: A 2.5'' diameter area of restoration on the Madonna's neck with a corresponding patch. Each: Evidence of other spots of older restoration throughout but difficult to read under heavy, uneven varnish.
