A Louis XV/XVI style giltwood mirror, Late 19th century, the central rectangular bevelled plate within a beaded conforming surround inset with further mirrored slips surmounted by a pierced acanthus-carved crest centered by a floral bouquet, est:$2000/3000

54.25'' H x 31'' W. Provenance: Property from a Private Collection, Glendale, CA. Condition: Nicely carved. General marks, nicks and scratches overall, commensurate with age. With rubbing to gilding overall revealing red bole, white gesso and bare wood in areas. Plates probably replaced. Back reattached with modern brackets. Minor cracking to carved elements.
