A Japanese bronze hawk on burr wood base, Probably Meiji period, late 19th century, apparently unmarked, the hawk realistically modeled spread winged, on a dug-out natural burr wood base, overall, est:$800/1200
*Price Realized: $805.00

14.5'' H x 24'' W x 17'' D. Condition: The hawk: 8.5'' x 24'' x 15''. The base: 10.5'' x 22.5'' x 16''. Good condition overall. Nicely modeled in the round. With a deep brown patina to surface overall. With some replacement securing pins to wings and tail. General light marks, scratches and rubbing overall. This and all lots are sold AS IS.
