1001 A pair of Louis XVI style gilt-bronze & porcelain urns
Late 19th/20th century, each with flambeau finial above a foliate cup over a laurel-swagged urn with squared foliate handles above a pedestal base centered by a reserve depicting a boy or girl, on associated giltwood plinths, overall, 22'' H x 10'' W x 5'' D, est:$800/1200

Condition:
Urns: 20'' high. General marks, scratches and rubbing to surface. Quality of casting varies. Probably originally part of a larger garniture. Reeded tops of urns appear slightly lopsided. Elements loose on central thread. Both would benefit from re-alignment and overall tightening. Some spotting and dirt accumulation overall. Rubbing and minor losses to gilding on plinths.
1002 A pair of Louis XVI style gilt-metal wall lights
Late 19th/early 20th century, each with a pierced circular foliate and C-scroll cast backplate issuing a putto holding a spray of six acanthus-sheathed J-form candlearms, electrified, 13'' H x 16'' W x 24'' D, est:$3000/4000

Condition:
Generally good condition overall. Casting decent. Gilding of a rather brassy tone. General marks, scratches and rubbing commensurate with age. One wall light missing small decorative attachment. Originally probably part of a larger set as each putto has a Roman numeral etched into one calf. Putti possibly reattached or reconfigured to backplates as there are additional holes in the backplates. Each putto also has a square patch to lower back. Wall lights are wired for electricity but require sockets. Wiring should be checked by a qualified electrician prior to use.
1003 Pair of Louis XVI style ormolu figural candelabra
Late 19th century, each modeled as a putto holding aloft a bouquet of flowers, with three candlenozzles, over a spreading base with laurel and floral-cast feet, not electrified, 17'' H x 11'' W x 6'' D, est:$800/1200

Condition:
Nicely cast. Gilding of a mellow gold color. General marks, scratches and rubbing to surface, commensurate with age and use. Some lilies lacking stamen. Some looseness to flower heads. With slight dirt accumulation to crevices. Not electrified, as stated.
1004 A Royal Vienna style bronze porcelain table box
20th century, with blue beehive overglaze mark to underside, the arched handle above a rectangular coffer top decorated with Classical scenes, with cornucopiae at corners, over a rectangular case decorated with cameo medallions, with putti-form terms, on acanthus-cast feet, 14'' H x 15'' W x 10.5'' D, est:$2000/3000

Condition:
Generally good condition overall. With typical light marks, scratches and rubbing to surface overall. Mounts formerly gilt, now with only scattered traces of gilding remaining. Painted scenes somewhat roughly executed. Lid with slight warp. Some dirt accumulation overall, would benefit from cleaning.
1005 A William B Kerr 14K gold etched glass vanity set
Late 19th/early 20th century, Newark, New Jersey, with maker's mark and further marked ''14K G 1900'' and with additional reference marks, comprising a pair of scent bottles (6 x 3''), a pair of small table boxes (1.5 x 2.25''), a powder box (3.25 x 5''), a brush (9.75 x 2.75''), a hand mirror (12.25 x 5''), a shoehorn (7 x 2''), a buttonhook (8 x .75'') & a pair of scissors (4.25 x 1.75''), monogrammed ''CBS'', 10 pcs, weighable 14K gold (3 lids & shoehorn), 235 grams, est:$2000/3000. Note: William B. Kerr was an independent silver and goldsmith working in Newark, New Jersey from the 1880s until 1927 when his firm merged with Gorham. He was particularly renowned for producing fine vanity articles and sets. Provenance: Property From the Estate of C.B. Sweet, Lumber & Railroad Pioneer, Beverly Hills, CA and thence by descent to the present family member.

Condition:
Good condition overall. Glass elements very nicely etched. General marks, scratches and some rubbing commensurate with age and use. With some dirt accumulation to scent bottles. One small box with crack to glass at rim, under lid. Shoehorn with slight bend. Scissor blades oxidized. Some spotting to tip of buttonhook. Set would benefit from a light cleaning overall.
1006 After Julien Monier gilt bronze bust beauty
Late 19th/early 20th century, signed ''Julien Monier'' (active 1890-1915, France), depicting a young woman with upswept hair, on a green breccia marble socle, overall, 25.75'' H x 15.5'' W x 9'' D, est:$1200/1800. Provenance: Property from a Private Collection, Temple City, CA.

Condition:
Height of bronze: 18.75''. Very nicely rendered and chased. Good condition overall. Gilding of a medium gold tone. With light rubbing, marks and scratches commensurate with age. Slight dirt accumulation overall.
1007 Louis XVI style ormolu & marble clock garniture
Late 19th/early 20th century, ormolu and Griotte de Campan rouge marble three piece garniture comprising a mantel clock with circular gilt dial with Roman chapters within a ribbon wreath, the movement with ''Medaille d'Argent 1858 / Vincent'' pastille and further marked ''A. 1 / 232'', surmounted by a rectangular cornice decorated with paterae, flanked by cabriole supports, on a stepped plinth base with scroll feet and a pair of urns with flared rims and tapering bodies with anthemia scroll handles, on a similar base, 3 pcs, the clock, 17.5'' H x 11'' W x 5.25'' D, est:$1500/2000

Condition:
The urns: 13.75 x 5.5 x 4.5''. Generally good condition overall. General marks, nicks and scratches commensurate with age and use. Minor scattered chipped losses to marble elements. One urn cracked in half and well-repaired, with areas of well-matched infill. Mounts embellished and/or some re-gilt. With varying quality to casting and gilding. One key. Movement appears original and intact. Working condition of clock is unknown and not guaranteed.
1008 A Louis XV style giltwood fire screen
Late 19th century, the cartouche-form frame with foliate-carved crest, with central panel depicting maidens in a garden, illegibly signed lower left ''Braquenie'' (reputedly Henry-Charles Braquenie, 1815-1897), on acanthus-headed downswept legs ending in scrolled toes, 43'' H x 25.5'' W, est:$800/1200. Provenance: Property from a Private Collector, Beverly Hills, CA.

Condition:
Nicely carved. General marks, nicks, slight cracking, rubbing, minor chipped losses and dirt accumulation overall. Some losses to gilding revealing red bole, white gesso and bare wood in areas. Pictorial panel very faded and with some staining and frayed areas on right side, as visible in photo. Silk backing to reverse, faded dried and with a tear.
1009 A Louis XVI style giltwood ''tete-a-tete''
Late 19th/early 20th century, the S-form padded crestrail over a pierced spindle back above padded seats covered in red velvet, with acanthus-carved arms, on curved seatrails over spiral twist legs ending in tapering feet, 28.5'' H x 49'' W x 24'' D, est:$2000/3000

Condition:
Height of seat: 18'', width of seat: 20.5'', depth of seat: 21''. Structurally sound. Nicely carved. Probably regilt. General light marks and scratches to surface commensurate with age and use. With some slight separation cracking at joints. Some slight rubbing to gilding in areas. With wear and thinning to velvet, particularly to crestrail.
1010 A French coralene porcelain plaque of a beauty
Last quarter 19th century, signed lower right ''E. Pages'', figure depicted in a coralene embellished gilt Renaissance style gown and hat, holding a bouquet of flowers against a gilt and cobalt foliate scroll ground, the plaque, 27.5'' H x 15.5'' W, est:$5000/7000. Note: Coralene is a late 19th century form of decoration on glass and porcelain involving tiny glass beads applied and then fused to the surface. The resulting effect bore a strong resemblance to coral. Other names for this method are coral beaded or coralene beaded. A companion piece to this lot sold, Skinner, Boston, MA, 17 July 2004, lot 4753.

Condition:
Overall: 35.25 x 23''. Good overall condition. Nicely painted. Some fading or cloudiness to glass beads, obscuring some detail of the gown. Detail most visible under direct light. Some scattered losses to glass beads. With a 0.5'' loss near bustle of dress. Apparently with some losses of beads and pigment round red panels of hat. Frame painted gold. With some rubbing and minor losses overall.
